“Ma vénus” establishes a dialogue between past and present: it questions the permanence of forms and symbols related to the female body. By revisiting the Venus de Willendorf, the work highlights the way in which art, through the ages, has represented femininity, oscillating between sacralization, idealization and reinvention.
